Legend
Legend was created on the MPC Live 2. My favorite part of this song is the bounce brought to life by the hi-hats. It features a blend of fun, dynamic elements that come together seamlessly. After the first playback, it truly felt legendary.
Gladys
Gladys was created on the MPC Live 2, featuring a melody sampled from Gladys Knight and The Pips' The Makings of You. Chopping samples is always a fun process, and speeding up the tempo to give the track more momentum made it even more exciting to create.
Piano Love
What I enjoyed most about creating Piano Love was experimenting with the piano sound, which inspired the title. To enhance the track and give it extra punch, I added a sub bass towards the end, intensifying the emotional impact. The combination of the piano’s warmth and the deep bass creates a dynamic contrast, driving the feeling home and giving the song a unique, layered depth.
Pop Champagne
When I created Pop Champagne, I wanted to craft something light and fun, much like the celebratory essence of champagne. This inspiration led me to use playful strings and lively flutes, capturing an uplifting and bubbly vibe. The result is a track that feels effervescent and joyful, mirroring the sparkling energy of its namesake.
Do It Again
Do It Again marks my first attempt at chopping a sample, and hearing the final result inspired the title as a reminder to try it again. The track blends playful percussive elements with a subtle dark undertone, creating a unique and captivating vibe. It's a reflection of experimentation and discovery, showcasing the balance between rhythm and mood.
Discharge
Discharge is an fun techno track inspired by the Tron: Legacy soundtrack. Drawing from its futuristic vibe, I incorporated synths and computer-like sounds to try and create a dynamic and immersive techno experience. The track blends pulsating rhythms with a digital edge, capturing the fun that defines the genre.
Transitions
When creating Transitions, I aimed to experiment with strings, so the song evolves through various string melodies and elements. Throughout the piece, these transitions are anchored by a simple snap on the third beat, maintaining a consistent rhythm. As the track progresses, the strings shift and layer, creating a dynamic yet cohesive sound that highlights the theme of change while keeping the energy grounded and focused.
Yeah
The essence of Yeah was inspired by Chris Brown's Yeah 3x, aiming to capture a fun, high-energy vibe. I wanted to create a track that exudes excitement and positivity, with an infectious rhythm that keeps the energy flowing. The result is a dynamic, upbeat song designed to bring a sense of joy and movement, channeling the same vibrant, danceable energy that made Yeah 3x such a hit.
